Peewee A Cyclones split hockey games

TRURO, N.S. – The Wilson’s Home Heating Cyclones split a pair of peewee A girls hockey games over the weekend.

In a 2-1 exhibition loss to the Metro East Inferno on Saturday, Willa Evans had the lone Cyclones goal, assisted by Baillie Griffon.

The Cyclones rebounded to defeat the second-place Antigonish Bulldogs 5-3 on Sunday in league action.

Griffon picked up a hat trick and Monique Gourley and Olivia Gourley added single markers. Assists went to Griffon, Courtney Thomson and Eve Carreau. 

The Cyclones will face off against Pictou County on Saturday at the RECC. Game time is 11:30 a.m.
