Millbrook’s Martin, Bible Hill’s Hart drafted to the Q

TRURO, N.S. – A pair of Colchester County players were drafted by Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams Saturday.

Millbrook’s Hunter Martin and Bible Hill’s Gavin Hart were taken in the draft, held at Harbour Station in Saint John.

Martin, a six-foot-two, 180-pound defenceman, was selected by the Sherbrooke Phoenix in the seventh round, 125th overall.

Hart, a five-foot-six, 165-pound forward, was a 12th-round pick by the Halifax Mooseheads, 203rd overall.

Both players were rookies last season for the Weeks Major Midgets.

Martin had five goals, 15 assists and 114 penalty minutes in 36 games. Hart was fifth in team scoring with 19 goals and 21 helpers in 36 games.
