The Herd announced earlier in the day that they traded a ninth round draft pick in 2017 and a future prospect to the Drummondville Voltigeurs for 20-year-old Frederic Aube.

He was invited to the Vancouver Canucks development camp after he finished last season as the 13th highest scoring defenceman in the QMJHL. Along with the ninth round draft pick, the Mooseheads also dealt 16-year-old prospect Frederik Theoret, who played two games as a call-up this season.
The team faces the Moncton Wildcats at home on Friday, marking the return of Nico Hischier after the World Junior Hockey Championship.
