TRURO, N.S. – Brookfield’s Zach Sill is chipping in offensively for the Hershey Bears, notching five points in his last five American Hockey League games.
Sill, 29, had an assist on Tuesday in Hershey’s 5-3 loss to the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Penguins. Last Saturday, he helped set up Hampus Gustafsson’s third-period goal as the Bears skated to a 6-3 win over the Laval Rocket.
On March 28, Sill collected two assists in a 6-4 decision over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, while on March 25 he scored a goal in a 4-2 setback to the Hartford Wolfpack.
Sill, a fourth-line energy player, has six goals and 16 assists for 22 points this season. The six-foot, 215-pound centre is one of only two Bears to have played in all 72 of the team’s games this season.
The Bears (29-34-4-5) have been eliminated from playoff contention. They visit the Charlotte Checkers for a pair of tilts this weekend, before home games next weekend against the Tigers and Penguins to wrap up the season.
