The Bearcats edged the Amherst Ramblers 5-4 on Monday to win the best-of-seven Eastlink South Division final series in five games.
Truro will meet the Miramichi Timberwolves in the final. Miramichi won the Eastlink North Division in four straight games over the Summerside Western Capitals.
Brandon Hughes led the Bearcats on Monday with a shorthanded goal and two assists, while Kyle Tibbo and Nic Blanchard each added a goal and a helper. Daniel Little and Leon Denny fired single markers.
Matt Lapointe, with two, Jordan King and Connor Vermeulen scored for the Ramblers.
Truro jumped out to a 2-0 lead just over three minutes into the contest, however, the Ramblers got on even terms before the end of the first period.
The Bearcats led 4-3 after 40 minutes and got a got a power-play snipe from Blanchard at 9:08 of the third for a two-goal cushion.
Vermeulen scored on a power play for the Ramblers with just under four minutes remaining, but that’s as close as the visitors would get.
Bearcats goaltender Jason Rioux made 19 saves, while Daryl MacCallum stoppd 21 shots at the other end.
Attendance at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre was 1,832.
