TRURO, N.S. – The Colchester Wilson Home Heating Atom A Cyclones female hockey team improved its record to 5-0 with three weekend wins in Fundy Highland North conference league action.

The Cyclones defeated the Pictou Subway Selects 3-1 Saturday. Meika Martin scored twice and Kori Griffon a single.

On Sunday, the Cyclones won a pair of games over Strait Richmond by scores of 14-2 and 13-0.

Brooklyn Bagnell Lauther led the way in Game 1 with seven goals, while Martin added four. Singles went to Jessica Cameron, Myla Searle and Lucy Evans.

In Game 2, Bagnell Lauther netted four goals, while Martin added a hat trick. Cameron and Stella Henderson each chipped in two goals and Leah Higgins and Madison Toole added singles.

Nadia Bruce posted the shutout.
