TRURO, N.S. – The Cobequid Cougars will be in search of their second win of the provincial high school football season on Sunday.
The Cougars host the Halifax West Warriors for a 1 p.m. kickoff at James MacPherson Stadium. The game will be CEC’s home opener.
The Cougars opened their season on Sept. 7 with a 40-2 drubbing of the JL Illsley Judges. Last Sunday, CEC dropped a 37-22 decision to the Dartmouth Spartans.
Running back Andrew Floyd keyed the Cobequid offense with 129 yards on 23 carries. Floyd added an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Quarterback Michael Adams had eight carries for 75 yards and scored two rushing touchdowns.
On defense, Jordan Waller had five tackles, while Ivan Gault added three tackles and one forced fumble. Isaac Fraser chipped in two tackles and a sack.
