BIBLE HILL – Shanice Maxwell of the Dal AC Rams soccer team has been named Atlantic Colleges Athletic Association female athlete of the week.
Maxwell, of Truro, had a brilliant weekend for the Rams.
In a 3-1 win over the Crandall Chargers Saturday, all three goals were scored off set pieces from Maxwell.
On Sunday, Maxwell scored the game-tying and winning goals to spark a 3-2 comeback victory for the Rams against the Holland Hurricanes.
The Rams (7-1-2) sit in first place entering their final two games of the regular season this weekend. Saturday the Rams visit UNBSJ before a Sunday match against St. Thomas.
The ACAA male athlete of the week is Ibra Sanoh of the Holland Hurricanes men’s soccer team.
Sanoh scored three times in a 4-0 win over Crandall and netted five goals in an 8-1 triumph over Dal AC.
