GUELPH, Ont. – Colchester County football players are in Guelph, Ont., this week for the U16 Eastern Challenge.
Truro's Zander Field, Cameron Russell, Matt Shannon and Millbrook's Tyson Stevens are competing for Nova Scotia at the five-team event.
The Bluenose squad lost its opening game on Wednesday, a 36-3 defeat at the hands of Quebec. Nova Scotia returns to action on Saturday in a re-seeding game.
Other teams competing are New Brunswick, Ontario and Saskatchewan.
Field is an offensive lineman, while Russell is a defensive lineman and Shannon plays linebacker.
