The Bearcats, 5-1-0-0, check in at No. 13 this week.

Truro defeated the Mariners 6-3 on Friday and edged the Campbellton Tigers 3-2 in overtime Saturday for their fifth straight home-ice victory.

The Bearcats lone loss of the season was a 3-1 setback in their first game of the season in Yarmouth.

The Bearcats lead the Eastlink South Division by two points over the Mariners and are tied for first overall with the undefeated Edmundston Blizzard.

The Blizzard are ranked sixth by the CJHL after wins over Amherst and Miramichi over the weekend improved their record to 5-0-0-0.

The Bearcats host the Blizzard this Friday for a 7 p.m. start at the RECC.

The Mariners, who were ranked sixth last week, fell to No. 16 this week in the CJHL rankings.

The Penticton Vees of the BCHL are the top-ranked team for the second straight week, followed by the Melfort Mustangs (SJHL), Okotoks Oilers (AJHL), Conras de Terrebonne (Quebec) and Thief River Falls Norsjies (SIJHL).

The CJHL rankings are based upon a variety of factors, including winning percentage; win-loss record; point totals; goals-for versus goals-against ratio, etc., and the league they compete in.
