Truro travelled to Dartmouth Thursday night for the series opener and dropped a 7-0 decision to the home side.

Game 2 is scheduled for tonight (Friday) at 7:30 p.m. at the TAAC Grounds in Truro.

It was a tight contest through five scoreless innings before the Dry unleashed a seven-run barrage in the sixth to account for all the game’s scoring.

Dartmouth chalked up 11 hits to Truro’s 4.

Jason Mosher took the win on the mound for the Dry; John Chapman started for Truro.

At the plate for the Bearcats, Justin Morton had a triple and Nick Best, Adam Lombard and Darson Murphy chipped in singles.

For Dartmouth, Anthony McKinley had three singles and drove in a run, and Matt Harding and Davey Wallace each had a pair of singles and an RBI.

After tonight’s scheduled game 2, the series shifts back to Dartmouth for a 7 p.m. contest Sunday night at Beazley Field.

However, with rain in the forecast for much of today and periods on the weekend, some adjustments may be necessary.
