Team effort for Red Sox in peewee win over Yankees

TRURO, N.S. – Chayanne Johnson Benoit played stellar defence and made several infield plays for outs as the Red Sox defeated the Yankees 6-4 in the peewee division of the Bible Hill-Truro Minor Baseball Association.

Jack Morrison pitched two strong innings in his debut. Logan MacKinnon, Jag Faulkner and Zach Gloade also threw for the Red Sox. Braden Ledbetter led the offence with a triple.

Pitching for the Yankees were Keegan Skinner, Sam Walker, Zach McNutt and Nate Davison.

Dawson Gilbert led the Yankees at the plate with two singles, while Walker, Ben Fiddes, Robert Holmes and Skinner added other hits.

In other action, Masstown Hardware Tide downed the Mets 13-2

The Tide were led by Zach Dykstra and Cole Turner, with three hits each, while Mike Peters chipped in with two of his own.  

For the Mets, Jase Langille, Evan Hennigar and Dawson Bird each had a hit.  

In another contest, the Blue Jays beat the Pirates 17-4.
