The Bearcats were swept from the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League playoffs after a 7-5 loss to the Sydney Sooners.
Sydney won the best-of-five series 3-0 and will face either the Dartmouth Moosehead Dry or Halifax Pelham Canadians in the final.
Halifax forced a deciding game in that semifinal with a 14-9 victory on Saturday. Game 5 is Tuesday at Beazley Field in Dartmouth.
In Sydney, the hometown Sooners got the bats going early and built a 4-0 first-inning lead, before adding one in the second.
Truro answered with four runs in the third, before the home team put up a single in the fourth for a 6-4 advantage. The teams would later swap runs in the seventh and eighth innings.
Darson Murphy, Adam Lombard and Shawn Mullins each had two singles for the Bearcats, while former Bearcat Mike Tobin stung his old team with two singles, two stolen basses and four RBI for the Sooners.
Sheldon MacDonald was the winning pitcher, allowing eight hits and striking out seven, while John Chapman was tagged with the loss.
The best-of-seven championship series will begin next weekend in Sydney.
