Mets, Yankees tie in peewee/bantam baseball

TRURO, N.S. – The Mets and Yankees settled on an 8-8 tie in the peewee division of the Bible Hill-Truro Minor Baseball Association.

The Mets were led at the plate by Bowen MacMillan, Brody Porter and Jase Langille, who each delivered a pair of hits.

Brooke Thompson played a great game defensively and Dawson Bird, Owen Carr and Thompson pitched.

For the Yankees, Callum McClelan led the charge with two hits, including an inside-the-park home run, and Zach McNutt had an extra base hit.  

Pitching for the Yankees were Keegan Skinner, Sam Walker, Luke Taylor and Nate Davison.

Masstown Hardware Tide 7, Blue Jays 4

Michael Peters, Colby Spencer, Elijah Stewart and Brian Spence pitched for the Tide, while Gage Pratt, Jake McDonald and Will Bowers took the hill for the Blue Jays. 

Peters stroked three singles for the winners, while Tim Porter added a pair of hits.

Dylan Sloan and Jake McDonald each delivered a pair of singles for the Blue Jays.

In other action, the Red Sox defeated the Pirates 13-11.
