TRURO, N.S. – Fundy Textiles laid claim to the Bible Hill-Truro Minor Baseball Association mosquito division title with a recent 8-2 victory over the Bible Hill Kinsmen.
Fundy swept the best-of-three series in two straight games.
Timely batting, combined with stellar pitching and defence, enabled Fundy to prevail.
In the final game, offense was provided by brothers Austin and Eli Brown and Jaden Duncan, who had two hits each. Also contributing key hits were Zayne O’Dwyer, Lucas Pearce and Braisyn Watts. On the mound for the winners it was Austin Brown and Duncan shutting down the opposition and combining for six strikeouts.
Brady McKinnon, Dawson Drummond and Griffin Scott provided hits for the Kinsmen, while strong pitching duties were performed by Drummond and Scott.
