Bearcats upend Kentville in NSSBL semifinal opener; Dartmouth takes lead

TRURO – The Truro Bearcats showed no signs of a three-week lay-off slowing them down as they edged the visiting Kentville Wildcats 4-3 in 10 innings at the TAAC Grounds Friday night.

The win gives the fourth-seeded Bearcats a 1-0 lead in their best-of-five semifinal series against the regular season champion Wildcats.

In the other semifinal, Dartmouth Moosehead Dry took both ends of a double-header Saturday in Dartmouth to go up 2-0. The Dry won the opener 5-4 and finished the day with a 17-2 drubbing of the Sooners.
