Bantam Bearcats rally to defeat Athletics

TRURO, N.S. – The Truro Bearcats erased a seven-run deficit and rallied to defeat the Amherst Athletics 11-10 on Monday in Bluenose Baseball League bantam A/AA division action.

Truro trailed 10-3 early, but chipped away throughout the contest and scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to complete the comeback.

Luke Creelman was the winning pitcher. Calem McAndrew, Darsey Pratt and Tanner Greatorex also saw mound duty for the home team.

Greatorex and McAndrew each swatted three singles, while Adam MacKinnon and Pratt doubled.

With the win, the Bearcats improved their record to 4-2-1.
