Cougar Dome hosts high-calibre tennis event

The recent New Brunswick/Nova Scotia Tennis Open Circuit event at the Cougar Dome attracted 32 of the top players from both provinces. Winners of the men's doubles competition were, from left, Phil Anderson and Adam Becker with runners-up Geoff Learmonth and Roger Keating.

TRURO - The Cougar Dome recently hosted the New Brunswick/Nova Scotia Tennis Open Circuit which saw 32 of the top players from both provinces face off in men's singles and doubles, mixed doubles and ladies singles.

Winners were as follows:

Women's Singles

Amy Brookman (NS) def. Julie Devlin (NB) 6-2, 6-3

Mixed Doubles

Roger Keating/Amy Brookman (NS) def. Michelle Karis/David Anderson (NS) 7-6, 7-5

Men's Doubles

Adam Becker/Phil Anderson (NS) def. Roger Keating/Geoff Learmonth (NS) 6-1,6-3

Men's Singles

Adam Becker (NS) def. Andrew Oxner (NS) 7-5, 4-6. 10-4.
