DUMFRIES, Scotland – Truro’s Colleen Pinkney improved her record to 5-0 on Monday at the women’s world senior curling championship.

Colleen Pinkney and her teammates from the Truro Curling Club are undefeated heading into action on Tuesday at the women's world senior curling championship in Scotland.

The Canadian team blew open a close game by scoring five in the sixth end for an 8-3 victory over Switzerland’s Susan Limena.

Pinkney, third Wendy Currie, second Shelley MacNutt and lead Susan Creelman return to the ice Tuesday against winless Ludmila Morova of Russia in their final round-robin game.

Canada is lone undefeated team in the B Group. The United States leads the A Group with a 6-0 record.

Group winners advance to semifinals, while the teams that finish second in each group will play the third-placed team from the other group to determine the semifinal matchups.

On the men’s side, Canada’s Mike Kennedy leads the nine-team A group with a perfect 7-0 record.
