ONSLOW - Clara Hughes, a Canadian Olympic medalist in cycling and speedskating, was given a huge send off as she left Central Colchester Junior High School in Onslow on Tuesday as part of the Clara’s Big Ride for Bell Let’s Talk Tour.

Clara's Big Ride stopped at Central Colchester Junior High School on Tuesday.

Hughes spent an hour at the school along with Susan Henderson, executive director of the Canadian Mental Health Association Truro branch, to talk about mental health, including depression, something that Hughes struggled with.

The Olympian arrived in Truro on Monday and hosted an event at the Colchester Legion Stadium.
