SUNDAY, OCT. 20, 2013 – TRURO RACEWAY, 1:30 P.M.
RACE 1 – Majian Wizard gets to drop down a class this week and doesn’t really face difficult competition. He is about due for a win and this will be his best chance.
RACE 2 – This will be a tight race between Candela Mara and Business Time – they have both put up decent times in their last performances. The edge will go to the better driver; go with Dale Spence.
RACE 3 – Secret Fantasy didn’t fire the way he should have from the back of the pack. This week he will likely be the one being chased and return to his winning ways.
RACE 4 – Saulsbrook Quick gets a drop in class and should be lengths ahead of his competition.
RACE 5 – Hushs Funny Girl finally draws the inside post, which should mean she will have an easier time to make the front – right where she likes it.
RACE 6 – Though I got burned by Woodmere Trakeater last week, he is racing slightly easier competition and shouldn’t disappoint.
RACE 7 – Stoveonfire will get a good trip from the rail and it has been a while since he last visited the winner’s circle. This bet will offer some value.
RACE 8 – Brickyard Val was the leader for most of the mile last week and will likely use the same approach this week but will she be able to hold off late closing Fedora or Dream In Street. Go with Dream In Street
RACE 9 – Maritimer backs down out of the top class this week. He has the speed to beat this group and should be able to close late for the win.
RACE 10 – Neigh Monster has been on a roll lately with youngster Paul Langille. His main competition (Prom Mister) will have to come too far again this week.
Longshot with a chance – Fedora in Race 8
Safe Bet of the day – Saulsbrook Quick in Race 4
