UPPER ONSLOW, NS
An accident at the Highway 102 and 104 interchange resulted in traffic being rerouted for several hours Monday evening.
A tractor trailer rolled over onto its side around 7 p.m., but the driver suffered only minor injuries.
Colchester District RCMP, EHS and the Onslow-Belmont Fire Brigade were on scene. Transportation Infrastructure and Renewal (TIR) assisted with the detour of westbound traffic onto Highway 2, which lasted until shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday morning. The closure enabled fuel, contents of the trailer the tractor trailer itself to be removed. The Special Hazards Response Unit assisted with the removal of diesel fuel
An investigation is taking place to determine what caused the collision.
