Suspect sought in overnight armed robbery of North Sydney Circle K

SYDNEY, N.S. — Cape Breton Regional Police are searching for a suspect after the North Sydney Circle K was robbed early this morning.
Officers responded to the Commercial Street store at approximately 2:30 a.m. where the clerk reported a man had entered the store with a knife, demanded money and then ran out onto Peppett Street.
The clerk handed over a small amount of money and was not injured.
The suspect was wearing grey jogging pants and a black/grey striped hooded shirt with a piece of green material around his head and neck.
According to police, he had very short dark hair and a moustache.
A K-9 team and Forensic Identification officers were on scene to assist and the investigation has been turned over to the major crime unit.
