Police investigating fire and death in Clam Bay (Updated)

UPDATE: A second body was discovered on Tuesday. Police report the remains of one man and one women have been removed from the house.

Clam Bay, NS - Police feel the cause of a fire at a house, where the remains of one person were found, is suspicious.

Halifax District RCMP and Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency were called to a house fire on Nebooktook Walk just before 9 a.m. Monday morning. When firefighters arrived they found a garage on fire and flames spreading to the attached home.

Emergency workers located human remains of one person inside the home around 9:30 p.m. that evening.

An investigation is taking place and anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Halifax District RCMP,  Halifax Regional Police or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers.
