Anna Mae Ellis, 52, of 5 Kitchen St., is facing numerous fraud-related offences against G&G Computers Inc. of Truro. It’s alleged she defrauded the company of approximately $455,000.

In April, the Criminal Investigation Division of the Truro Police Service received and began an investigation into a complaint of a woman defrauding the Truro business of a substantial amount of money. The accused had been providing accounting services to the business between 2007 and 2013.

Ellis is charged with fraud over $5,000, making false entries in electronic accounting software with the intent to defraud Keith Gillis, owner and operator of the business, committing forgery with false documents (cheques), and using forged documents as if they were genuine. All incidents are alleged to have occurred between Sept. 26, 2008 and Nov. 22, 2013.

Ellis is scheduled to appear in provincial court on May 28 at 9:30 a.m.
