Preparation for Hometown Hockey is underway

Work crews began setting up equipment in Civic Square Thursday morning in preparation for Rogers Hometown Hockey, which will be hosted in Truro this weekend.

The two-day festival will kick off at noon Saturday with live music and activities, and runs to 6 p.m.

Things pick up again Sunday at 1 p.m. and conclude with a Rogers Hometown Hockey outdoor viewing party of the NHL game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Winnipeg Jets.

Currently, Prince Street is closed to traffic from Young Street to Forrester Street, and will remained closed until 4 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 30.
