Noise complaint at Millbrook hotel leads to cocaine charges

MILLRBOOK, N.S. – A noise complaint at a Millbrook motel led RCMP to arrest two men on various drug charges.

Millbrook and Colchester RCMP responded to the complaint in the early morning hours of March 14.

During the investigation the officers discovered and seized 53 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of hash, brass knuckles, and a quantity of cash and drug paraphernalia.

The officers charged Alexander Seymore Grady, 20, of Truro, Nova Scotia, with 
- possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
- possession for the purpose of trafficking hash
- unauthorized possession of a restricted weapon (in this case: brass knuckles)

- and three charges of failing to comply with an undertaking.

Grady is being held in custody and will appear in Truro Provincial Court on Friday, March 17.
The RCMP also arrested an 18-year-old man from Great Village for possession of a controlled substance, in this case: cocaine. The information for that charge has not been laid but is pending.

The RCMP released the teen from custody and he is scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court May 31.
The investigation is ongoing.
