No school today

SYDNEY, N.S. - An extended March Break is in order after school was cancelled this morning for students across Cape Breton.

The Strait Regional School Board was first to cancel classes just after 5 a.m. when they initiated a system wide shutdown.

The Cape Breton-Victoria Regional School Board's class cancellation came just before 6 a.m.

Both cancellations are due to an overnight weather system that was supposed to dump snow and then rain on Cape Breton.

So far only snow has fallen, though.
