Man arrested in Onslow Mountain after standoff with RCMP

Onslow Mountain, NS

A 35-year-old man was arrested after an incident at an Onslow Mountain home early Sunday morning.

Around 4:11 a.m., Colchester District RCMP responded to a report of a man with a firearm, who had barricaded himself at a residence on Onslow Mountain Road. With assistance from the RCMP Emergency Response Team, a man was arrested after exiting the residence just after 12:40 p.m. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

The man is scheduled to appear in Truro Provincial Court today (May 14) to face numerous charges.
