Re: ‘Truro truck driver angry with town’s decision to keep commercial vehicle land-use bylaw in place

“’…but it’s their way or the highway,’ Yeah – that’s the way bylaws work, it’s why they exist. I have no idea why this person feels he can be granted an exception to a rule (bylaw) all others must abide by. I hope he keeps parking in his driveway and they keep ticketing him and then get a judgment against him to collect. Perhaps that revenue stream will help lower the ridiculous amount of property tax town residents pay….”

Re: ‘Family searching for pet dog believed to be stolen

“I read this article and was very saddened for the owners, and very mad about someone taking this dog. Someone deliberately stealing a person’s loved animal, how despicable. Someone knows who this person is, they know someone got a new German shepherd dog. They also know the car; this is a small area. People, if you know who took this dog, call the police or the owner. Let’s get this dog back home, and this person charged.”

“Thank you for refusing to do anything racist. That says a lot about your character. Good for you. There is enough hatred in this world without contributing to it. I wish you much continued success and increased business because of this story.”

Re: ‘Police to Nova Scotia drivers: Take the ‘extra five minutes’ to clear off your vehicles

“I can’t believe anyone would try to drive like the person whose car is pictured above! They are right to fine people for this. In addition to cleaning windshields and windows, take all the snow off your roof too. I was driving in Truro the other day and hadn’t cleaned my entire roof off. When the sun warmed things up, a large chunk of frozen snow slid down on my front windshield while I was driving, completely obscuring my view. I had to pull into a parking lot and get everything off. Better safe than sorry…”
