Indian Brook man injured during home invasion

INDIAN BROOK – A 37-year-old man allegedly beaten Saturday by two suspects during a break and enter at his Indian Brook home was taken to hospital.

RCMP arrest 19-year-old Onslow man for attempted murder.

 

Indian Brook RCMP are investing the violent break and enter that took place at about 6:44 a.m.

 

Indian Brook and Enfield RCMP responded to a 911 call at a residence on Meadow Brook Road in Indian Brook.

 

Police said two suspects had broken into a home and assaulted the man. The two suspects then fled from the residence. The victim was transported to Colchester East Hants Health Centre where he was treated and later released.

 

Officers later attended a residence on Mill Village Road in Shubenacadie and arrested one of the suspects, 30-year-old Jeremiah Paul.

 

Paul will be appear in Shubenacadie Provincial Court on Nov. 10 to face charges of robbery, aggravated assault, break and enter, assault and mischief to property.

 

Officers are still searching for the second suspect. He is believed to be a male in his mid-20s, medium-dark complexion, six-feet tall, approximately 270 lbs and heavy set build.
