RCMP Sgt. Duane Cooper said members from the Colchester detachment, acting on a complaint, entered the home and seized 4.5 lbs. of marijuana, a small quantity of hash oil, illicit mushrooms and a number of firearms.
The man, who was not identified by police, was arrested at the scene without incident. He is facing charges for possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and production of a controlled substance.
He was later released from custody and is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Shubenacadie on Feb. 27.
