TRURO, N.S. – A Truro man faces numerous charges in connection with an assault last month that left another man with serious head injuries.
Jason Code, 28, of Truro Heights was beaten and left unconscious outside a Walker Street residence on Feb. 16.
Cody Michael Frizzell, 23, of Queen Street is facing several charges in relation to the attack, including assault causing bodily harm, aggravated assault, uttering death threats to other individuals as well as several counts of failing to comply with a probation order and court undertakings.
Code’s face was fractured in six places, his jaw was detached and he lost three teeth.
During a five-hour surgery he had metal plates inserted in his face.
Frizzell, who remains in custody until a hearing on March 22, has pled not guilty to the charges and is scheduled for a full-day’s trial in provincial court on May 25.
