The calendar says it’s the first day of spring but it looks more like Christmas weather this morning.

It was -1 C, with everything snow-covered, at 7 a.m. Today’s high is expected to be 6 C, with flurries, dropping to -3 C tonight. There is freezing rain in some areas making roads and walkways slippery, so be careful.

Tomorrow’s forecast includes a temperature of 2 C, with ice pellets, and an overnight low of -8 C.

Schools

Because of the weather and road conditions all schools in the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board are closed for the day.

Plenty of Pets

Ricky is a young rabbit, less than a year old, who is ready to be a house pet. He is friendly and enjoys treats. He has been neutered and is available for adoption through 10,000 Carrots Rabbit Rescue.
