Although you may still have had some snow to move this morning it looks like you’ll get a break from shoveling this weekend.

It was -4 C at 7 a.m. and the temperature is expected to be -2 C with flurries throughout the day. Tonight’s low is -8 C.

Saturday will have sun and cloud with a temperature  around 0 C, dropping to -5 C, with a 30% chance of flurries overnight.

Sunday’s forecast includes clouds and a temperature of 2 C, dropping to -2 C, with a 30% chance of flurries, overnight.

Plenty of Pets

People who’ve spent time around Rascal recently describe him as “an awesome dog.”

Rascal is a seven-year old medium-sized mixed breed. He is neutered, up to date with vaccinations and in good health. He’s well-mannered, calms easily when welcoming visitors, doesn’t jump up and generally enjoys being a wonderful companion. Cuddling on the couch to watch TV or snuggling in bed are two of his favourite pastimes. He also enjoys having his ears, back, and legs scratched, and loves belly rubs. He absolutely loves attention and will give kisses in return.
Rascal needs routine and being with someone who will attend to his basic needs with consistency. He doesn’t like to be left alone and would be best suited to a home with no other animals. Although he gets along with other dogs, he doesn’t like to share attention at home and he doesn’t like cats. He would be fine with older children but had some bad experiences with young ones pulling his ears and teasing him so he’s not comfortable around them.
Rascal walks well on a harness and is a good jogging companion. He enjoys long walks but must be on a leash, as he will take off if loose and does not have good recall. He could use some training on this, as well as travel etiquette. He enjoys car rides but makes a lot of noise.
Rascal is currently being fostered in Truro. He is available for adoption through ElderDog. For more information contact Lynn Purchase at purchase.lynn.k@gmail.com or 1-855-336-4226.
