HALIFAX - Major crime investigators in Halifax say the man charged with a 2004 murder in Uniacke Square has likely left the province.

Police are still looking for Shilo Marcino Beals, 31, of Cherry Brook. He’s been charged with first-degree murder and weapons offences related to the shooting death of Kevin James Bowser in July 2004.

A release from Halifax police Monday states investigators have received information that Beals has left Nova Scotia and is “elsewhere in Canada.”

He’s still considered armed and dangerous, and the release includes a reminder to the public not to approach him or take matters into their own hands.

Anyone with information on Beals’ location is asked to call Halifax Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.
