Bible Hill man arrested after shots fired

BIBLE HILL – A 52-year-old man is facing a number of charges after being arrested following a report of shots being fired.

At approximately 7:15 p.m. June 29, the Colchester RCMP responded to a report of a male discharging a firearm on Albert Avenue. The RCMP located a vehicle during a patrol that had been damaged by suspected gunfire.

Upon further investigation, the RCMP seized a rifle and ammunition from a residence on the same street. A search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act was executed at the residence and a large quantity of marijuana was seized.

Kim Wade Spencer was arrested on June 30 without incident in Pictou County. He’s been charged with offences including careless use of a firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

The investigation continues.
