Members of the North River and District Volunteer Fire Brigade have been certified as Emergency Health Services Medical First Responders.
Firefighters have completed their training and will now be called out, in addition to the paramedics, to respond to serious and life-threatening medical situations to help and support paramedics that will be dispatched first.
