Teens facing charges after smashing into parked car

TRURO – Two teenagers were arrested Wednesday night after crashing a vehicle into a parked car.

At around 9:30 p.m., the Truro Police Service was called to a motor vehicle collision at the Colchester Legion Stadium parking lot. A witness observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed before hitting a parked car. The driver of the vehicle then left the scene.

A 17-year-old male is facing charges of impaired driving, failing the breathalyzer, dangerous driving, mischief and taking a motor vehicle without consent. An 18-year-old male is facing charges of mischief and taking a motor vehicle without consent. They are expected to appear in court in July.

No one was injured in the incident.
