Town council meetings to be broadcast on the Internet

TRURO – Truro town council meetings will be more accessible to the public this year.

The town is making its monthly council meetings available to more people by beginning Internet broadcasting. Previously, town council meetings aired live on Eastlink TV at 1 p.m. on the day of the meeting – which takes place the first Monday of every month except on holidays - and were then rebroadcasted once during that month.

With the new live feed on the town’s website (http://www.truro.ca/watch-council-meeting.html), in addition to the Eastlink broadcast, residents will be able to tune in live to the meeting or watch it any time throughout the month. Video of a meeting will be available online for approximately one month, until the next council meeting.

Truro town council will have a session this Monday, beginning at 1 p.m.
