MEADOWBANK – Emergency crews were called to a fatal car crash Monday on Route 19 in Meadowbank.

The lone occupant of the vehicle was a 67-year-old New Brunswick man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The RCMP’s preliminary investigation has revealed that the driver had just passed another vehicle when he lost control, struck a ditch and rolled. He was ejected.

The identity is not being released, pending the notification of next of kin.

A section of Route 19 was closed for an hour and a half around 1:20 on Monday.
