Police continue to seek information on Spryfield men's

SPRYFIELD - Dec. 12 marks the one-year anniversary of the homicides of Matthew Hebb and Earl Stewart.

Last year, emergency personnel responded to a 911 call near the 450 block of Highway 374 after witnesses observed a fire at a camp near Sheet Harbour.

Upon further investigation, fire officials found the bodies of two men, 22-year-old Matthew Allan Hebb and 59-year-old Earl Stewart, both from Spryfield. Both deaths were confirmed to be homicides.

The Halifax Regional Police/RCMP Integrated Major Crime unit arrested two people on Dec. 18, 2012, in relation to the homicides. Those individuals were later released without charges.
