The remains found near Mount Uniacke on Dec. 2 have been identified as those of a New Brunswick man who went missing in July, and the New Brunswick RCMP Major Crime Unit is investigating a homicide.

Human remains found by a hunter in a wooded area off East Uniacke Road

The remains of 57-year-old Daren Jones, of Maquapit Lake, N.B. were found by a hunter in a wooded area off East Uniacke Road. Jones’ vehicle had been discovered by RCMP, in Stewiacke, shortly before he had been reported missing.
