Students’ artwork up for action in fundraiser

TRURO, N.S. - Young artists will be donating their artwork to the CEC Interact Club, as part of a fundraiser being held Saturday.

The CEC Interact Club is a school-based club that focuses on fundraising for local and international organizations to create positive change.

The club will be raising funds for Maggie’s Place Family Resource Centre, in the form of a silent art auction in the foyer of Cobequid Educational Centre, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The club is receiving donations from more than 10 artists in the form of paintings, drawings, wood burning, and pottery.

The cost is $5 per person and all proceeds from tickets and sales will go to Maggie’s Place.
