Singer/songwriter for perform at the RECC on New Year's Eve

Johnny Reid and his special guests will be in Truro to help people say good-bye to 2018 and greet the New Year

The JUNO Award winning singer-songwriter will be taking part in a New Year’s Eve Kitchen Party at the Rath-Eastlink Community Centre (RECC).

“I’m so happy to be coming to the east coast to ring in the New Year,’ said Reid. “They tell me there’s not a party better than an east coast kitchen party. Count me in!”

Reid, who was born in Scotland and moved to Canada as a teen, now lives in Nashville and is a chart-topping, multi-platinum musician. Truro is his only stop on the east coast during the holiday season.

Tickets for the December 31 show start at $59.75 plus taxes and fees. They go on sale at 10 a.m. on September 14 (24 hours earlier for annual RECC members and Tartan Army members) at the RECC welcome desk, online at ticketpro.ca, at any TicketPro outlet, or by phone at 1-888-311-9090.

The event is for ages 19 and older, and the doors open at 9 p.m.

To add to the excitement of the evening, the RECC has partnered with Sell-Off Vacations to offer a $2,000 travel voucher to one lucky ticket purchaser. A seat will be selected at random and the seat number will be posted on the event website and social media page.
