BIBLE HILL, N.S.

Here’s a fun way to get fit in 2018 and take part in an attempt to break a world record.

Linda and James Finnie have partnered with Bible Hill Recreation to offer free ceilidh dance classes starting Wednesday, Jan. 24. Classes will run for six weeks, from 7-9 p.m., at the Bible Hill Village Hall. People are encouraged to register by leaving their name and phone number at the village office.

Class participants, and others, are also invited to join in an attempt to break a world record, for the largest ‘Strip the Willow’ dance, at the Colchester at the Highland Games & Gathering in September. The current record, of 1,914 dancers, was set on Dec. 30, 2000, in Edinburgh, Scotland.
