TRURO, N.S. – An application is being made to the Municipality of Colchester for a development agreement for new apartments in Upper Onslow.
The application by Donna Creelman proposes a phased development involving two, six-unit apartment buildings on the south side of Onslow Road, a short distance east of Exit 14 on Highway 102.
County council is to consider the application at its regular meeting tonight.
The property is the former Groves Farm, which slopes from the road towards the bay.
From the road, the proposed units would show two-storey buildings designed to blend with neighbouring single-family homes. From the bay, the elevation will show three storeys designed to blend with the natural slope of the lands, the application to council says.
If approved, construction of the first building is contemplated for late fall. The second building is to be constructed within the next two years.
