Truro, NS- It’s going to be a party fit for a princess.

Belle, Jasmine, Anna, Elsa, Merida, Tinkerbell and Olaf will be in town for a Royal Garden Party at Riverfront Park on June 17, from noon until 3 p.m. It is a fundraiser for Wayward Cats Society and all money raised will help homeless and neglected cats.

“Our Royal Garden Party will whisk you away into the heart of a fairy tale,” said Sara Delaney, organizer. “This magical experience will make little girls feel like princesses and grownups feel the wonder of being children again. I love seeing the smiles on their faces as they watch their favourite characters come to life before their eyes. It’s definitely my favourite fundraiser of the year.

Children will be able to join in a sing-a-long before having sparkling fairy dust applied, thanks to fairies from The Body Shop, having princess style added to their hair by stylists from ‘Make a Beauty Call’ and getting their nails painted.

There will even be necklace and bracelet making stations, as well as wands to decorate, a treasure hunt for jewels and a chance to join Merida for some target practice.

Healthy snacks of fresh fruit, veggies, and crackers, followed by cake, will be served.
Jody O'Brien, of O'Brien Digital will be taking photos, which can later be downloaded from his website.

The garden party tickets can be purchased at Truro Vet Hospital beginning May 17. Ticket price is $35 for one princess and $25 for each additional princess. Princesses must be accompanied by a parent.
Rain date is June 18.
