French students in Truro participate in novel-writing project

Students and a teacher at L’Ecole acadienne de Truro recently participated in NaNoWriMo, which was held in November as part of national novel writing month.

From left are Keegan Carreau-Burns, Eilish Keaveney, teacher Katherine Burris, Lilian Peck and Isabelle Choumiline. Choumiline and Keaveney created heroines with family issues and coming to terms with life and death. Peck’s ammo-packing main character must protect herself from a zombie-infested capital city amidst misery and despair.

Carreau-Burns wrote a science-fiction thriller about a young man with unusual powers and his friends who had to stop an evil force that wanted to control and destroy their world.

Burris’s novel a novel set in 1976 with a body being found in a waterbed store on the first page. Submitted photo
