Town picks up properties during recent tax sale
The Truro Daily News
TRURO – Taxpayers have purchased a new piece of property abutting Victoria Park.
The town’s parks, recreation and culture department purchased 615 Young St. during a tax sale for $14,250. The property was $10,326.12 in arrears.
It is located immediately adjacent to one of the main cross-country ski access points to the park’s upper trails.
The town also purchased property at 223 Prince St. for $6,050.11 - the amount of taxes in arrears - because no one else bid on the property.
Three other properties were sold for $28,475.
